Step 3. Setting up Email

You will get one email account upon joining Xtra covered within your joining fee. Additional email accounts will be necessary if you want to provide your staff with their own mailboxes. Email lets you communicate instantly and cost effectively to a single person or to a large group of people, both within your company and around the world. You can send documents, images, and sounds via email. It also creates an electronic record of the sender and receiver's email address, and the time the message was sent or received.

Advanced Email services

Xtra offers a number of advanced email services which are FREE with the QuickStart Package. These are:

Mail Addresses - each person in your company can have up to 5 email addresses on the one email account, for the same low monthly fee. For example joe.bloggs@mycompany.co.nz can also have the email addresses sales@mycompany.co.nz, accounts@mycompany.co.nz, support@mycompany.co.nz All these email addresses are downloaded to the one email mailbox.

Auto-Responders - an automatic email message which can be sent in reply to an email received. For example a "Thank you for your enquiry, I will be in touch with you in the next few days" email can automatically be sent in reply to an email sent to sales.

Mail Forwarding - your email can be forwarded on to another email mailbox, which is useful if you or your salesperson is away on holiday. All email sent to one email address can automatically be forwarded to someone else.

Mail Wild Carding - any email addressed to your Domain Name can be collected in one mailbox, even if those addresses don't exist. This is useful if customers are not sure of the exact address, or misspell it. For example, if someone misspells 'salez@mycompany.co.nz' it will automatically be forwarded to the default email mailbox.

Additional Email Mailboxes

With our QuickStart package, you can provide every person in your company their own private email mailbox with password for a low monthly fee, per mailbox.
